Working with Childhood Trauma Part II – SOLD OUT
Monday, October 2, 2017 - 9am to 4pm
Event Navigation
Following on from the successful Working with Childhood Trauma training, Echo brings you a second, more advanced training to continue the exploration of childhood trauma.
Working With Childhood Trauma II is a chance for you to deepen your knowledge about the impact of toxic stress on child development, including a more in-depth look at the science behind how the brain and body responds to trauma. We will talk about the questions to ask when you are confronted with challenging behavior so that you can respond appropriately. You will also have an opportunity to practice skills for creating the safe, stable nurturing environments a child needs for optimal development. We recommend that participants take part one of Working with Childhood Trauma before taking this training.
This training covers:
– From pathology to empathy
– Epigenetics
– Polyvagal theory
– Brain wave activity
– Gender difference in response to trauma
– Regulation techniques
– Nonviolent communication – feelings and needs
– Post-traumatic growth
